I DID IT!!!! WOO HOO!!! LET’S PARRRRRRTEEEEEEE!!!!!!! WOO HOO!!!!
Who are the Music Moves Me bloggers? They’re bloggers who blog about music each Monday & if you have music to share, you are most welcome to join! (Music Posts Only-meaning at least one music video, please!) There’s Marie from XmasDolly. Her co-hosts are: Stacy from Stacy Uncorked, Cathy from Curious as a Cathy, & Alana from Ramblin’ with AM. We’d love to have more music lovers to join us. It’s easy & all you have to do is add your link with a music post that contains at least one music video (there must be a music video), and that’s it! This week’s theme is tunes by the Beatles!!! Patrick who is our song wizard this month is closing out our month of June with his last theme pick “THE BEATLES”! Global Beatles Day is today (Sunday). He suggested that we share songs about the Beatles, by the Beatles, and/or members of the band. Oh yeah, this one I can do…. Have a wonderful week my friends, but for now let’s listen and get up and dance with us…. woo hoo!!!!
Okay, here we go and our first one is Vicki Lawrence in “When the Lights went out in Georgia”! and on more in that area… The Night Chicago died by Gnerd..
& up next is Joe Cocker in “I get by with a lil’ help from my friends! Up next Ms. Celie’s Blues! from the movie, “Color Purple”!
And one more from the movie “The Color Purple”… God is trying to tell you Something!
Okay for now my friends. I haven’t watched that movie in a while… I guess I better pull out the ol’ DVD! You gotta admit it was a great movie! Now, my fellow citizens have a safe and fun 4th of July! Long live the United States of America as we use to know it when we were growing up! God bless you all! Amen!
Be safe tomorrow when we all celebrate our “4th of July”! Have some fun! I think we all need it! God bless!

Vicki Lawrence “The Night the Lights Went Out in Georgia” has such a creepy vibe that I like. She really did a great job with this song and I never understood why she didn’t do more as a pop artist. Have a boogietastic week and a Happy Independence Day, my friend!

Great songs here.
Happy Independence Day, Marie. You are back in the grove and picked what is probably (in my humble opinion) the best Beatles cover ever – yay. I haven’t heard the Vicki Lawrence song in forever. The Color Purple music was fantastic – wonderful to groove to. Alana ramblinwitham
Great choices. I didn’t know Vicki Lawrence had a version of that song. I just knew of Reba’s. XO
